Who we are
Waifu Unzipped is run by a solo developer. The fastest way to reach a person is email: waifu.unzipped@gmail.com
What we collect, and why
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or contacts. There is no sign-up form, and playing requires no account.
Signing in with Google is optional — it exists only so your save survives a lost device. If you do, we store the stable account identifier Google gives us and nothing else: not your email, not your name, not your profile picture. If you never sign in, your save is tied to the device and we have no way to identify you as a person at all.

We do not store the text of messages flagged by the safety classifier — only the category scores. We do not store your raw IP address, and we do not use advertising identifiers to build a profile of you.
Advertising
The app shows ads through AppLovin MAX, which may use device identifiers to select them. You can change your ad-personalisation choice at any time in Settings ▸ Ad Privacy Choices.
AI chat
Chat replies are generated by an external AI provider. The messages you send, along with recent conversation context, are transmitted to that provider to produce a reply. Your device never contacts the provider directly — the request goes through our server.
Who else sees your data
- Cloudflare — runs our server.
- Supabase — stores the database.
- OpenRouter — AI chat inference.
- AppLovin — advertising.
- Google / Apple — purchases, and Google sign-in if you choose to link an account.
Where your data is held
Your account and game data are stored in the European Union — our database
runs in Paris (AWS eu-west-3), and our server is pinned to the same region.
Requests reach us through Cloudflare’s network, which terminates the connection at whichever
of its locations is nearest to you before passing it to that server.
Chat is the exception. To generate a reply, the messages you send are passed to an external AI provider, which processes them outside the European Union, including in the United States. That provider selects a model service per request, so the specific service handling any one message varies.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. If you delete your account it is removed immediately, with two exceptions:
- Purchase records are kept, with your account identifier removed. We keep a one-way hash of each store receipt so the same purchase cannot be redeemed twice by someone else. What remains is a hash, a product name and a date, no longer linked to you.
- Where the law requires us to retain something — for example a preserved record connected to a report of illegal content — we keep it for as long as that obligation lasts.
Content-safety records are deleted automatically after 365 days.
Your rights
- Get a copy of your data — Settings ▸ Download My Data returns everything we hold about you as a JSON file.
- Delete your account and data — Settings ▸ Delete Account, or see how to delete your account if you no longer have the app. This cannot be undone, and purchases cannot be restored afterwards.
- Correct something the AI has remembered about you — the chat screen’s memory panel lets you delete individual remembered facts, and a deleted fact stays deleted.
- Change your ad choices — Settings ▸ Ad Privacy Choices.

Children
This game is for adults. You must confirm your date of birth before using the chat feature, and it is not available to anyone under 18.
You enter your date of birth once, before chat becomes available, and it cannot be changed afterwards.
That check is self-declared. We record the date you give us and calculate your age from it, but we do not verify it against any document or third-party service.
Separately, Google Play restricts users it determines to be minors from downloading this app or making purchases in it. That is Google's check rather than ours, and Google notes it cannot catch everyone.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects what we collect or who we share it with, we will also say so in the app.
